Description

To Snare A Fox

To Snare A Fox

To Snare a Fox is a rip roaring adventure novel about international drug trafficking on a grand scale involving oil supply boats, cargo ships and oil rigs. Follow the scented trail of the Fox around the world as DEA agent Jim Douglas tries to track down this illusive, clever, ruthless international criminal.

In 1989, the Americans invaded Panama and arrested President Noriega for drug trafficking into the USA. During the battle that followed, two DEA (Drug Executive Administration), agents, working out of the American Embassy arrested a general who was about to deliver a truck load of narcotics to a British national, called the Fox, whose boat was tied up in the harbour.

The two agents: Jim Douglas and Sam Pollard disguised themselves, masquerading as Panamanian army officers and drove the truck to the harbour in the old town area, for a fateful meeting with the Fox. Their plan was to arrest the Fox while he exchanged a suitcase of money for the drugs, but they had not taken into consideration the ruthless, devious intentions of the Fox.

When some time later, a group of follow up CIA agents found the two men, they had been shot. Pollard was dead. Douglas had been shot in the back twice. He was alive but barely breathing. The Fox escaped with the drugs and found sanctuary in Columbia, until the invasion blew over.

Months later, agent Jim Douglas made a full recovery. It had been a startling, incredible recover from serious body wounds but, although his body had been healed, his mind was still wounded, by the trauma of seeing his fellow agent and friend die. Douglas had suffered from the Fox’s gun, and would never forget the cold, steel, blue eyes and the cruel, merciless face of the man who had shot him. Nor would he forget the promise that he had made to Pollard, as he lay dying, lying beside him on the ground, that he would avenge his death and bring the murderer to justice. Now, Douglas was a driven man, who was ready to devote his life, avenging the death of his friend, Mike Pollard. Now a new chapter would begin, which would change his life forever. Douglas wrote the words, into his diary that described his mission: To Snare A Fox.

Who is the evil aristocrat and sadistic murderer? No one knows his real name. He is even an enigma to the criminals who deal with him – they are the Chinese Triads, the Italian Mafia and the Columbian Cartels. He has set up a huge international drug trafficking network exporting his poisonous cocktails of marijuana, heroin and cocaine into the west coast cities of the USA and other places around the world.

We follow the tracks of the Fox from San Francisco to the Caribbean, Haiti, Panama, Hong Kong, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Monte Carlo, London and Scotland and many other places in the world where he plies his evil drug, smuggling trade. Murder, torture, tongs decapitations, keelhauling, a coastguard frigate battle, helicopter chases and shootouts follow in the wake of the Fox’s trail. He leaves destruction and death behind him wherever he goes.

One man stands in the way of the Fox’s ambitions; he is Jim Douglas. For over fourteen years he has been hunting this sadistic murderer and international drug trafficker, and has failed twice to arrest him. During that time Douglas’s reputation and marriage have been nearly ruined by his preoccupation with catching this enigmatic, sadistic criminal.

Will he be able to snare the Fox on his third attempt, or will the elusive criminal manage to escape arrest and bolt for cover to his lair again? Will Jim Douglas manage to avenge the murder, of his colleague Sam Pollard, and salvage his career and marriage, or will the Fox escape again?

To Snare A Fox is a thriller with a lot of action that hurls the reader towards a climactic showdown between the hunter and his prey in a Scottish Castle. Who will win? Read this exciting novel and find out.
