About the Author
Joseph E. Roseman was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. His interest in the steelband began when he was only a boy and has remained with him for a lifetime. Roseman grew from a steelpan player to tuner, arranger, teacher and director and has tuned steelbands in many Caribbean islands and at the University of Tennessee. A family man, Roseman accepted job offers only in countries that would allow him to return home in a day. He has passed on his love of music, and especially the steel pan, to his children and countless young students.
