About the Author

JoAnn McCarthy grew up in the very small town of Hornell in Upstate New York. There she married and had three children, Jerry, Kim, and Michael. For many years, she owned and operated Hair Zoo, a successful hairstyling salon. Following her own path was always important to her, so she did so wherever she could. An amateur artist, she enjoys painting, drawing, and is now docent at the local Children’s Museum. But to JoAnn, life itself is the greatest passion. Even with all its hiccups, there is always something to be thankful for.
