About the Book

Owen’s Day is a children’s rhyme that describes one day in the life of a young boy. Owen is shown performing daily functions from the time he awakens until he goes to bed.

About the Author

Vanessa Lyman Withers is a graduate of health education from Ohio State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Capital University and a master’s degree in public health nursing from Ohio State University. Vanessa currently works as an emergency room nurse but worked for eleven years as a school nurse. She believes that many children can benefit from establishing routines to prepare them for their responsibilities. The book is designed to remind young readers of things that are important for daily success. About the Illustrator Justin Mario Withers is the son of the author. Justin has been drawing various cartoon figures for many years. He graduated from Kaplan College and took classes in two- and three-dimensional design. He had also taken classes in studio art and computer graphics. Justin is looking forward to illustrating many more books in the future.
