About the Book

Inside Myself, Soulful Poems of Encouragement, Inspiration and Memories is a collection of poetry. I have addressed the topics of faith, family, society today, memories of the past and some of our problems with today’s youth. I express my belief in a higher being than myself for inner strength, spiritual comfort and guidance in my life. Inside Myself was written for my dear friend, Ms.Willye B. White to help lift her spirits and encourage her to fight her battle with cancer. Ms.White competed in her time five Olympiads, won silver and bronze medals in the long jump,and 4-by-100 meter relays. Ms.White passed on February 6, 2007.

About the Author

Ms. Greta Joann McKesson Smith is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Tennessee State University located in Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Smith is a product of the Detroit Public School system. A retired teacher now after thirty-eight years with the Detroit Board of Education.
