An Unfortunate Adventure is a personal narrative that tells a story that happened when the author was only eight years old. The little girl faced a huge dilemma and had to make a hard decision. Decisions bring consequences, and consequences must be faced with courage and humility. The story creates an excellent opportunity to talk about being responsible, making the right decisions, and being honest. Grade-level range: third to fifth grade.
About the Author
Miriã Benício is a bilingual teacher in the state of Massachusetts, USA. She holds a graduate degree in Portuguese language and Brazilian literature, and a master’s degree in education. Her teaching experience ranges from elementary through college, in a variety of settings. An Unfortunate Adventure is her fifth published book. She writes poetry, literary criticisms, memoirs, and fictional stories.
