About the Book
This is a story of thirteen adults on an airlinerten passengers and three crew members. The passengers are casual traveling companions of various ages and occupations; the crew dedicated professionals who, like the passengers, also have their personal problems.
They are not unlike people being observed or met or associated with in everyday life. With some, recognition will be instantaneous, with others maybe even a kinship will develop. By fate or fortune or chance, they unknowingly are approaching the agonizing, climactic seconds of their lives.
As the story progresses, the thirteen will become more thoroughly understood than most persons understand themselves. This is because the veneer, faade, and other pretentious elements of character have been stripped away, leaving only the bare soul exposed. Through mental images, the reader will have lived the experience of entering the minds and emotions of others faced with a desperate crisis.
The novel is aviation-background suspense at its best as the seconds of life tick away. It gathers momentum until it is snowballing. Readers will find themselves not only in the airliner but straining to help fly it. It is a page-turner. The reading is compelling. Chapters may be jumped to learn how the story concludes, because the reader simply cant wait.
