Paul Alfred Barton is the descendant of an Ethiopian lady of Royal background exiled to America during the 1830’s. Barton is a descendant of a Garifuna (Califunami Nation) great-grandfather, one of the aboriginal African-American/Black peoples of the Americas. They consist of groups of pre-Columbian African-descent peoples from the Black Californians of California, Washitaw of the Mississippi/Louisiana region, Jamassee of Florida/Georgia and the Califunami of the Gulf, Atlantic, Florida region.
