About the Book
TSD has provided me many hours of pleasure over these past many years, not only in the writing of the poems but equally in my unhurried stroll through the scholarship and commentary. Boccacio, Petrarch, and the many scholars and commentators are fine company indeed. Since Boccaccio's delightful collection first appeared, each age has responded in turn. Herein is my own. My only regret, if regret is the right term, is that I don't have it to do all over again.
About the Author
About the author: Larry Lyall is a poet, musician and occasional professor of literature and the humanities. He is the author of SHAKESPEARE REDUX, a sonnet for sonnet response to Shakespeare's famous sequence, THE SHORTER DECAMERON, a Petrarchan gloss on Boccaccio's classic. Watch for his forthcoming CALLEJONEADAS/ALLEY SONGS, an irreverent, often truthful, account of a decade spent in the provinces of Mexico. He lives in Gainesville, Florida.
