About the Book
Pols Apart, a sequel to Fremont Bay (published in 2006) involves familiar characters now involved in political campaigns at opposite ends of Pennsylvania. A sample of campaign life, with its world of intrigue and dirty tricks, provides a background for the activities of a special federal clandestine group as well as two private statewide organizations: one attempting to buy future influence and a second, Commonweal, composed of men of good intentions. Finding success in his public relations company Chuck Roberts is initially reluctant to accept the role of campaign manager for an egomaniac candidate. Opposition candidate Alice Morley, ably assisted by her partner, Nancy Hawkins, doesn’t hesitate to open a bag of dirty tricks. No one is safe. The Fremont Bay cast returns with Todd Benson as their local candidate. There are several twists in Sandy Beach’s life while Father Michael Cleary makes a career change that provides added freedom. The prize-winning author has written numerous short stories of intrigue and a children’s series, The Bailey Stories – for his granddaughter. Commonweal, the completion of a trilogy is scheduled for publication in early 2008. Contact author: PO Box 398, Cassadaga, NY 14718-0398
