About the Book

When I was four or five there was a row of hedges near the house. Dad called me over by him when he cut some pieces of the hedge. Dad showed me how to make a bow and arrow. I made a few bows and many arrows after dad showed me. Since that time I’ve had an interest in the Native American. There was a time when I was growing up that many movies and television stories were made about the Native American. Many of those stories didn’t portray the Native American in a fair way. I believe this story tells a fair and different story of the Native American people.

About the Author

I was born the winter of 1942 and grew up in Springfield, New Jersey. Springfield was a rural town then, but turned into a typical suburb by the nineteen fifties. I have a younger brother and sister. After graduating high school I had a few jobs. A leading manufacturing hired me and there I learned the trade of tool and die making.
