About the Book

WHO IS JIM KENNEDY?

By many traditional yardsticks, Jim is a successful man. He graduated from three of the top schools in the United States – New Trier High School, Stanford University and the Harvard Business School. He is a loving husband to his wife and business partner, Anna Everest. He helped raise three wonderful children, David, Sarah and Polly from his first wife Kathy, and two impressive stepsons, Leif and Damian.

He is the proud and loving grandparent and a benefactor of eight grandchildren – Ben, Ellie, Cooper, Oliver, Dawson, Griffin, Charlotte and Christian.

Jim had a successful career with three blue chip organizations - Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco and Chicago, General Foods (now Kraft Foods) in White Plains, and J. Walter Thompson advertising in New York. At JWT, the world’s largest advertising agency at that time, Jim served as Senior Vice President and its first Director of Human Resources.

He started his own business, Management Team Consultants, Inc., in the depths of a recession (1982) and built it over 26 years with his wife Anna into a successful global practice (interviewedge.com). Over the past decade a succession plan has been implemented.This provides Jim more time for family, friends, travel, hobbies, adventure and giving back to others.

Early in Jim’s second career, as an entrepreneur, he wrote a book, Getting Behind the Resume - Interviewing Today’s Candidate published by Prentice-Hall. Jim was listed for 15 years in Who’s Who in America.

Actually, there is much more to his story. He barely survived adolescence. He acquired wisdom and a deeper understanding of the human, personal and spiritual matters that are most important in life.
