About the Book

Butterfly Expressions is a reflective collection of poetry and thoughts that celebrate the power of metaphysical presence in everyday life. In her first book, Trinee Dukes Moore shares her journey as she discovers her gift to write enlightened poetry. Her poetry offers a graceful blend of words and thoughts that tender perspective and resolve. This is vividly illustrated in the poem titled “Trees”—this poem conveys the essence of the message behind the death, burial, and resurrection of tress as it relates to the beauty of the afterlife; another poem, “No Entry,” inspires thought about selecting our friends and associates by listening to the voice within. Family bonds and emotions shine through in poems like “Mother Dear,” “Once and Again,” “More Than,” “His Own,” and “Her Own Best Friend.” However, a lighter side of this aspiring poet is demonstrated in the poems “Stupid Love,” “Pretty and Neat,” and “Tired”—the only intent of these poems is to “keep it real.”

About the Author

For nearly thirty years, Trinee Dukes Moore has been an instructor, administrator, and counselor. It is these experiences and the joy and tribulations of her personal voyage that inspire her poetry.
