About the Book
This book is about a little pigeon and her babies who lived in the wilderness. Mama Pigeon decides to go on a mission to find food. During her journey, she injures her foot, complicating things for her; despite her injury she continues on her mission. Along the way, she meets a few interesting characters. They are too busy blaming each other and find no compassion to help the little pigeon. Determined to find food and answers to her misfortune she meets a man who leads her to a higher power for help. The book is written to develop young children’s knowledge about their environment and surroundings including its elements, flora and animals as well as fellow human beings. The book intends to inspire children’s noble feelings towards helping others in need through compassion and respect. The book is also oriented to introduce the idea of a higher intelligence or God as the ultimate reference for all creatures and unanswered questions in this universe.
About the Author
I have been a Sunday school teacher for 14 years. This experience provided me with the exposure and insight about the importance of introducing the precepts of the golden rule to children since an early age so that they may become positive change agents in society. I have been making poems for my children and grandchildren for especial occasions. I love practicing watercolor, drawing and oil painting since childhood. I am the illustrator of this published book and currently working with more children’s book.
