My brother and I looked everywhere for her. We went to church, but Grandma wasn’t singing in the choir. “Where’s Grandma?” we asked. We rode by Grandma’s house but she wasn’t home. Someone else was living there. Where was Grandma?

About the Author

Sarah Jean Welle was awarded Honorable Mention in the Children’s Fiction category of the 76th Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition with this story, Where’s Grandma? Wanting to publish it, she contacted her sister, Hope Just, with the challenge to do the illustrations. Mission accomplished! Jean, now a grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 2, resides in the Dallas, Texas area.
