About the Book

Why in the world would someone write a book about how to become angry, lonely, depressed and in despair? Because all of us human beings find ourselves on this road from time to time and are not always sure how we got here. Usually we are not aware of the little things that really can affect our lives in a big way, either negatively or positively. The real question should be, “How do I get off?” This book focuses on the communication errors we commit and on the poor choices we make. With the self-knowledge you can get from this book, you can turn your life around. Effective communication is the corner stone in positive relationships. As you read this book, you may develop a self-awareness you may not have known before. This can give you the power to find more happiness in your life and improve your self-esteem.

About the Author

Marvel was reared on a small ranch in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she worked on the ranch and was a wrangler and guide. She competed in most rodeo events, including rodeo queen titles. She also participated in 4-H and attended Sandia View Academy high school. She remembers her parents giving her serious responsibilities and lots of love and praise. The rest of her life has been around educational experiences to grow as a person, to better help others and to find new adventures. She has worked in Monument Valley, Utah among the Navajo Indians and in Barrow, Alaska among the Inupiat Eskimos. While in Barrow she helped design and building six village health clinics on the North Slope. She is a registered nurse, a social worker, a drug and alcohol counselor, an artist and photographer, and enjoys writing poetry.
