About the Book
On Dry Land is a novel of relationships; mother to daughter, husband to wife, friend to friend. The story grows out of character and emotional climate. Central to the story is Anne, a woman in her early seventies who finds that life is as full of challenges and opportunities in her eighth decade as it has ever been. There is loss and reward, courage and fear, wisdom and the frustration of helplessness, in her life and in the lives of her family and friends.
There are precious few books that say something profound. This is one of them. Linsey Abrams, author of Our History in the City.About the Author
