About the Book

One Sunday in 2010, at the monthly flea market in the famous Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, rapper Bustin’ Taboos’ anti-sports rap inspires Eldon Bowman to found the Great American Anti-Sports Crusade (GAASCRU).

In 2012, MegaMax-Sports-Domes, a multi-billion dollar corporation helps elect Coleman Haulk—football hero, Senator, and sports fanatic—as President on a “Sports Platform,” promising a Sports-Dome in every major American city. Both the newly elected President and Vice-President die of heart attacks. The Speaker of the House becomes the “Accidental President” who has suspicions about Sports-Domes intrigues.

Meanwhile, Mortimer K. Forrester, ‘The Timber King,’ agrees to bankroll GAASCRU, which together with the possible withdrawal of Federal support panics MegaMax-Sports-Domes into extreme measures to conceal the Zebra Derby conspiracy.

A cast of zany characters, including a trio called the Cosmonuts, question the mysterious connection between UFOs, the Seven Deadly Sins and MegaMax-Sports-Domes and discover an evil scheme being hatched by sports-crazed extraterrestrials.

Book Reviews

“Rarely have I been entertained and laughed out loud when reading a book. Perhaps I’m a grouch and not easily tickled but this story delighted me with its vitality and uniqueness.”

“I liked the parts of this book that reminded me of Donald E. Westlake’s Dortmunder gang—bumbling but likable, outside the law, but generally non-violent and quite clever. The story contained a lot of terrific humor and many colorful characters.”
