About the Book

With the hectic and busy life demands of today, many parents need effective parenting skills, and many children need guidance and discipline in a nurturing, supportive way. Considering raising well-behaved children is a goal for parents, The Book to Help Parents Raise Better-Behaved Kids is a must-read/must-do for any parent of children of any age. The book takes some of the time-tested behavior modification and cognitive-behavioral strategies used by educators and mental health professionals proven to work over several decades and put into layman’s terms that parents can understand, and, more importantly, use. The strategies show how to teach new skills, replace undesired behaviors with desired ones, model, shape, guide support, and discipline children through their every day and important aspects of their lives. The Book to Help Parents Raise Better-Behaved Kids is highly recommended for those working with children and families in the counseling fields, especially those working in an in-home setting, those working with difficult children, children with behavioral problems, and those with ADHD as an adjunct to treatment.
