About the Author
Ruth Anderson, MD, MS is a noted fitness expert, wellness consultant and pain management specialist. She combines her extensive medical background with a Masters degree in exercise physiology and 25 years of experience in fitness and nutrition bringing a unique perspective to the world of health. She is a board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management, so has an understanding of disease from its most critical life-threatening perspectives. Dr. Anderson (all her patients call her Dr. Ruth) runs her own pain management practice where she uses her fitness and wellness expertise to teach her patients that the power to heal lies with in and provides the tools to help them reach their goals. This book is an integral part of that teaching. Embodied in this work are all the things she tells each of her patients in a form you can take with you and learn from daily. But the doctor does much more than preach. She has been a chronic pain sufferer since her back injury in 1980 ended her dance career.
