About the Book
This book contains photographic and poetic images chosen from my live experiences. As my eye was drawn to photographic subjects, frequently my mind was compelled to augment the photogrphs with word images in poetic format. I hope the combination is pleasing to the reader. The cover image was photographed near Governador Valadares, Brazil. Located along the Doce River in the state of Minas Gerais, a bustling commercial center noted for gem trading. The shape of the foreground tree struck me as an excellent frame for the book title. “Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured . . . but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.” Ben Stein
