About the Book

I WASH MY HANDS is a book which helps children visualize the concept of germs through "The Bug Band". This is a fun book which tends to produce laughter in children. They can learn how germs are contracted, transmitted and the results´ of being infected.(in a fun way). Examples for The Flu, E.Coli and Pink Eye infections are used. There is repetitous remindinders to assist the children in remembering to wash their hands when they can. The last two chapters of the book are reproduced in black and white to engage the child´s memory again, through repetition and by coloring. Doctor Khan (Pediatrician) said that he felt this book should be in every Doctor´s Office lobby. " A major part of being a good Medic is the ability to communicate with your Patient. You can have the best education in the world, but if you do not speak on the level of the intended target, communication fails. I have used this simple concept to teach preventive health issues to my children as they have grown. "I Wash My Hands" was written for and is enjoyed by, my own children". Doc William
