About the Book

When Beth Renner, secretary to deceitful preacher Elroy Perkins, marries Officer Vince Powers, she believes heaven is just around the corner. However, when Vince becomes a suspect in a murder, she must go through hell to get there. The ensuing murder investigation tests the resolve of two female detectives as they pursue the killer. Meanwhile, a megachurch is in the planning as Perkins and his cohort initiate a strategy to fleece members of the congregation.

About the Author

The author was born and raised in northeastern, Ohio. Following a four-year enlistment in the navy, he attended the Ohio State University and then later accepted an appointment in law enforcement. He retired after a twenty-seven year career and began a new career as an investigator/case worker in child welfare. Now retired, he pursues his interest of writing novels. He currently resides in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio with Charlotte, his wife of forty-eight years.
