About the Book

This heartwarming tale is a compelling holiday Christmas story, set in Boston. An author of fiction, from western Massachusetts, attends a writer’s conference, where he notices that his boyhood home in the Italian North End is for sale in a Boston newspaper. Giovanni Perri revisits the nostalgic ‘listing’ and passionately desires to reacquire it, and spend Christmas with his family there, until the ‘closing’ is delayed—potentially affecting the sale. His young son, Graziano, worries that Santa won’t find him—no chimney exists. A ‘Christmas Chiave’ (key) is needed, a ‘magical key’ with poignant, nostalgic meaning and impact for the whole family.
