About the Author

Don Porco, a Salida, Colorado native, has been around team roping most of his life. He produced his first roping event, a fund raiser, as president of his local roping club. Today, He produces ropings under the name of LTD Roping. He operates his own independent Insurance agency and manages his family’s 250 acre ranch in Salida. Back in the early days of team roping, producing a roping was easy. Everyone simply Put a quarter in the pot before they roped, and the winners won the pot of money. Today, Producing a roping event is much more structured and complex. Mr. Porco’s book provides his knowledgeable insight and the helpful tools that will aid the producer in putting on a successful roping event.
