About the Author
Maria Khaled and her daughters’ , Nadia and Sarah Khaled, all enjoy reading great children’s books. Maria is a teacher and nutritionist who loves to write, swim, workout and have some genuine fun with her family and friends. Nadia, who is 7 years old, is the little artist who created the images for The Princess and The Poor. Her younger sister Sarah, who is 5 years old, helped color them. Both Nadia and Sarah have great imaginations and helped tremendously with the writing of the story. Nadia enjoys singing, art, swimming, ice-skating and soccer. Sarah enjoys dancing, art, swimming, ice-skating and soccer. They both love all of the princesses and are truly little princesses in their mom and dad’s eyes.
