About the book The Muddy Little Bell consists of stories, legends, dialogues and essays, based on the author’s folkloristic writing style. Each story is self-contained and was inspired by an incident happening in the author’s life or by a city or a countryside where the author was living or visiting.
About the Author
Brigitta Gisella Geltrich Ludgate was born in Kitale, Kenya, as it was still a British Colony. She received her schooling in various European countries and in Canada and her university degrees at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, at UC-Berkeley in Berkley, California, and at UCLA, Los Angeles, California. She retired in 2006 from academia to focus on writing, photography and travel. Her writing goes back to her early teenage years, where she wrote stories and poetry in German and continued writing in English in Canada and the United States. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Creative Writing from the Palmer’s Writing School, and is published in various newspapers and magazines, both in German and in English. She is the author of the children’s books Tales and Bedtime Stories and The Muddy Little Bell.
