About the Author
Born in New Orleans, raised in the Mississippi delta cotton town of Greenwood, the author has lived in Sydney, Australia, for the past thirty-nine years after marrying an Australian while both were studying at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The son of a Baptist pastor who died when the author was seven, Heinrich grew up attending Southern Baptist churches and was baptised during a week of revival meetings when he was eleven. Husband, father of four adult children and one SIDS victim, grandfather to two lively eight year old girls, Heinrich claims a mixture of German, English, Scotch and Irish heritage that was mingled in the US melting pot for four generations prior to adding a strong dash of English/Irish Australian. William, or Bill as most know him, has studied English, French and American literature and has taught in colleges in the US and Australia. Possessor of a BA in English and French from the University of Mississippi and a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the New South Wales Institute of Technology, he worked for New South Wales government departments in staff development and human resource management roles for nineteen years. Prior to retiring to house-husbandry in 2006, Bill worked as administrator in the church where he and his wife June worshipped. In 2009 they joined a team that has planted a growing Baptist church on the burgeoning Northwestern fringe of Sydney. He is now working on a sequel to Living the Dream.
