About the Book
“The barn is still breathing” in Bill Duke’s gorgeous little book of poetry and image. Flowers and cattle, fog and church, the living, the historic, and the personal merge in simple elegant beauty. Here, the mountains breathe.

Seventeen syllables and a photo, every day, become the path to discipleship in Bill Duke’s collection of haiku. The result is a “little blessing” for both author and reader.

As farmers my wife and I work 365 days a year. Bill does the same with his poems. While we grow your vegetables, Bill grows your soul. This book daily feeds us. It’s a beautiful, organic and mysterious harvest. Eat up. Delicious.
