About the Book
The Anxieties of Love explores the many voices, experiences, challenges, and parameters of love. It is the one thing we all must have at every stage of life beyond food, clothing, and shelter, if we are to affirm and embrace our humanity, and to connect to the force that flows continuously throughout the universe.
About the Author
Carl Cook has been writing poetry since childhood but did not heed his calling as a poet until his teens. The Anxieties of Love represent his third book, preceded by The Tranquil Lake of Love, which was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award, and Postscripts published two years later. His poetry was first published by Gay Sunshine Press Quarterly (Winter 1978), and later anthologized in such books as Voices Rising, A Rock Against the Wind, The Road Before Us, and A Warm December. He is a retired preschool teacher and continues to live and write in New Jersey.
