Sleepy the Amazing Sheepy

Sleepy and Grover the goat were best of friends. Grover did not have many friends because he was always getting into trouble. One time he ate a hole in Mr. Brown’s pants that had fallen from the clothes line. Another time, he climbed on top of the chicken coop and made so much noise on the tin roof that the hens would not lay any eggs. He got in the biggest trouble of all with Mrs. Brown. Grover had some nice horns and was always showing off by running around and butting things with his horns. He would butt the dogs, the pigs and even bales of hay for fun. Grant and Preston would hold up pieces of cloth just like a bullfighter and Grover would run toward the cloth and try to butt it. Just like the bulls in a bullfight, Grover would try harder when they used a red cloth. One day, Mrs. Brown, wearing a red dress, was leaning over pulling weeds out of the flower garden. The back of the dress was too good of a target for Grover to resist. He gave her a good butt and she went head first into the daffodils. She got up, brushed herself off, screamed at Grover and stormed into the house. Everyone was sure she would punish him or even worse, sell him.
