About the Author

Lyn Fitzsimmons is the author of this children’s book. She would describe herself as a big kid. She spent 12 years as a Learning Support Assistant working closely with students 5 years to 20 years in primary, high school and in Disability School Facilities. Lyn later moved to several different professions and became a Massage Therapist, Aqua Instructor and Swimming Teacher for toddlers to squads. Lyn loves sports and has played netball, softball, basketball, volleyball and has coached soccer, netball and touched football. She now plays table tennis. Her greatest love is her family. Originally coming from Sydney, Lyn married her husband David and moved to Canberra. They went on to have four boys and at present has five grandchildren. Her other love is her singing and performing as a lead vocalist, which she has done for decades and still does to this day. She loves to perform anywhere but particularly in corporate and weddings, showing off her wide variety of genres. Lyn has also written some children’s songs.
