[Dr. Don S. Lee was born in Korea, educated, received an MD degree, in Seoul Korea, came to the US in 1970. He has lived in the DC metropolitan region since 1974 and held a medical school faculty member till 2010. After retiring from the medical profession, he stepped into studying the ancient history of Northeast Asia.
Dr. Lee published four books. The latest one; the [Ancient History of Korea. Mystery Unveiled. Second edition] is his dissertation of new theory. He said; It is a Lone Voice to the world.
Old Chinese scholars concealed Old Korean History and spread false information. He presents a new method to study history written under ideographs and defines that History as THE MOTHER OF ALL LIBERAL ARTS and SCIENCES. Ancient History is embedded in the Ideo-logograms. He went one step further and emphasizes that the Reasoning is the essential element in forensic science and to study history of the NEA.
Had I not been in this Free World and at George Washington University as a faculty member through the 70s, my theory wouldn’t be possible. Another word, any of those three points had not been at the same time and place, Triangle, that is my new theory wouldn’t be possible.
I started to look at the issue from the very beginning. Birth of ideo-logograms to send messages and compare eastern and western cultures. How to convince the counterpart in arguments and so on.
I thought about my retirement, left GWU, went to Georgetown University, and consolidated my plan to step into the new academic field all by myself, as I had designed to study halothane byproduct.
I declared my mission with a book “뿌리를 찾아서;Search for the Root” in 2011. I stated my view with three prongs; suggestion to the junior faculties, story of my family and hometown. Lastly, ancient Korean history is related to the Marquis Hahn in Shijing.
It is written and cited by many others that Gija went to Joseon in 1046 BC after the Battle of Muye, came back and met the first King Wu (d.ca 1043 BC) of Western Zhou. The Chinese claimed that Gija went to the current Pyongyang in North Korea. It is out of common sense.
By casting the conceptual net as wide as it can be under the spectrum of Time, Place and Events, I pull out a firm conclusion that Gojoseon had emerged in the place and era of Epic Flood in Chinese history. Ancient History of NEA was the dividing point of oral history to the written one and the dawn of Chinese civilization. Gojoseon people were Scythian; Eurasian Steppe Norman, commonly known as Jung (戎) also described as Dong-Hu (東胡), literally Hu from the west and being described as Mohe (靺鞨; 말갈 Malgal by Korean), or Mogher, or Mojie. They left Hongshan culture in the North of the Great Wall.
One band of Eurasian nomad moved down to the south along the Fen River (汾水)Valley in the Shanxi Province and worked together. That is the beginning of the commune to control the epic flood control. The location of Commune is in the ideo-logograms ``共城為降城” in the Commentary on the Water Classic. It means “Citadel of commune living together” is “the Citadel by the Gang River'' that was nearby the Pyongyang (平陽) in the Shanxi Province. That is the same place where the Gojoseon capital Asadal had been. They flip-flopped the voice and semantics of logogram Gang (降) to many letters as you can see with the idea-logograms of Pyongyang (平陽 平壤) in North Korea. The Gojoseon people were enslaved by the alien Zhou(西周) clan and left original scripture in the NEA with archaic ideographs, that is the origin of clerical script, literally Slave engraved character. The Korean language is the trunk of the Tungusic language still remaining and in use. Sinologists didn’t recognize the ancient Korean language had been recorded as PLCs and flip flops to make another sentence, that is called Phone-semantic Matching Characters (PSMCs) by linguists.
I struggled for decades. But it was the most productive period of my scholarly life. Unlike the medical school faculty, I could concentrate on only one issue day and night. I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, enabling me to draw the trail of migration that my Korean ancestor had taken place.
Despite a public announcement and written note to the Blue House, none of the public media, even to the historians in Seoul Universities, and being informed in advance, did n’t come. I am convinced that Korean historians could n’t get away from the geopolitics. I am raising A Lone Voice from America to the Free World.
Since religion plays an important role in the value judgment, and scholarly writing, I look into the ancient Buddhist text. Also history has that Elders (老子) went to the west and thought Hu(胡) people. Elders were Yaemaek people who settled in the Yunnan Province, went up to the Himalaya Mountains through the ancient Salt trade route, set the enclave known as Sinja Village in Bhutan that is registered as UNESCO World Heritage site. That is the birthplace of primitive Buddhism. Through the turbulent history, Yaemaek people settled in the Yunnan region. They became the vector for Buddhism from the Himalaya region to the SEA and southern China known as Zhina, where another band of Yaemaek people reached through the coastal water way. Buyeo diaspora was dominant seafarer crossed the southern sea route from the Southern China to the Southern part of Korean peninsula around 479. Southern Buddhism come to Korea and made Silla strong enable to unified Korean peninsula. Silla Baekjae and Gaya confederate states made the Island nation strong. Islanders declared the New Nation in 660 named as Nihon informed to Silla first, then Tang Dynasty. Chinese chose the same sea route reach the Japanese isles through the port city Gimhae during the Sui dynasty.
I would like to ask you all to examine my research methodology. They didn’t realize that the locals used the ancient Korean Language that still remained in the ancient scriptures.]
