Legal Deposit Australia
The legal deposit is a system that helps ensure the preservation of published material related to Australia or New Zealand and its people—for the benefit of the community and future generations. By law, any Australian or New Zealand person, group, or organisation that publishes material made available to the public is required to deposit a copy of it to the National Library.
Xlibris takes care of the Legal Deposit to the National Library for you as part of your publishing package, with no paperwork required on your end.
Libraries in your home state or territory may also require a deposit of your work. Please approach your local deposit libraries directly to submit a copy of your book.
