About the Book
Cutting edge horror short stories and tales of the fantastic. That is how I would want my stories to be remembered. I want to shock you, to surprise you, to scare you. I want to show you things that you have never seen before and even things that you dont want to see. If I can do that, then I have done my job. And I will not accept failure.
My stories run the full list of genres. From hardcore horror to sci-fi, to even a little romantic at times, and the occasional humorous story throw in just to keep you off guard. When you read The Shadows Touch, I want you to always be on your toes, wondering what will come next, and when you find out, I want you to be wrong.
I try very hard to not be trite in my storytelling and let the characters decide where and what they do next. When that magic moment occurs and the characters start telling me what will happen next, then I know that I have something good going.
The only good story is an original story. That is the motto that drives my writing. If I dont have something to say in the story, even if it is buried deep within the story and is very personal, or if I beat the reader over the head with the moral, there is always something going on in my stories besides just the action that the cahacters are taking. See if you can figure out my motives.
About the Author
My name is Jesse Perry. I am a member of The Jagged*Team and have been published fiveteen times in the last five years, in addition to working at the best video game magazine on the web, www.jaggedteam.com for the last four years. This is my first book to ever be published. I am twenty-five years old and I live near Atlanta, Gerogia.
I have been in love with tales of the fantastic ever since my youth. I was raised with monster movies and Stephen King novels. I truely enjoy the bizarre and other worldly bumps in the night. I write, what I know. And I know monsters.
I love it when I can speak to someone who has read my stuff. Not only is it a joy to hear their honest opinions about it ( even if they aren´t sugar-coated), but I can only learn what people like or what needs to be fixed by listening to the readers. I want to hear from the people who buy and read my stuff, to hear what they think, but to also get a feel for who my market is. I´m sure there are more than enough crazy people out there who are willing to give my writings a try. If you hated it, tell me, if you loved it, tell me, just don´t be silent. Being silent is the only way that I will learn nothing. My e-mail address is perry@jaggedteam.com. Write me and tell me everything. If you want, I will answer you, either to defend myself or to say thanks. I promise.
