About the Book
Stancya Wodzinski has been obsessed with the nineteenth century Polish composer Frederick Chopin since childhood. Her story includes accounts of fiery performances of some of Chopin´s major works, her participation in World War II, the McCarthy Era, and the Civil Rights Movement.
Stancya´s kabbalistic belief that events and people are constantly recurring buttresses her conviction that archetypes of people in Chopin´s life exist in her own life. The search for Chopin, the person, intensifies when she discovers his intimate letters to his good friend Delphine Potocka. Finally she finds confirmation of her belief that she has a personal link to him. Lovers of classical music, personality and history buffs, and feminists would enjoy this story.
