Hardworking mouse has always been too busy looking after his family to take a breather, and tonight he is feeling like he missed the boat. But while he dozes in his rocking chair, he hears Santa about to depart on his annual trip around the world. It's now or never for the little old mouse, who scrambles into a sack of toys and goes along on a whirlwind tour with the whiskered man in the red suit.

Written in rhyme in the same rhythm as Moore's poem, STOWAWAY is a children's picture book, with full-page illustrations in beautiful colors. Easy-to-read, third-grade words, the story is even more fun when read aloud by an expressive adult.

Elizabeth Smith is the author of Stowaway, a book about a mouse that rode with Santa Claus, accidentally on purpose. Also, The Talisman’s Legacy, a novel about a group of people who traveled across this country in a wagon train in 1843 and settled in a new city named Sacramento, California.
