About the Book
The poems were penned in the 1930s and 1940s, with some jotted on scraps of yellowed paper. Each provides insight into the man who was a son, a husband, father and grandfather, and most of all, a man who felt his happiness and sadness very deeply. And not to be forgotten is his service in World War I in France; he would never speak of that time in his life.
