About the Book
A young man had a dream of a better life in a far away country. He brings his brothers over one at a time until the family is reunited. The farm in Slovakia is left behind as life begins anew in this country in the mills and factories of Cohoes, New York. With broken families all around them, the decendents who begin their lives in poverty, kept their families together and prospered. It is a story of loyalty and devotion to the family and sacrifice for the good of the children.
About the Author
The author was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut. His parents came to America from Slovakia, in the early 1920's, raised seven children who educated themselves, followed the values of their forefathers and prospered. He spent many years in the insurance industry gathering material for his works. He is married and currently resides in Florida where he follows his own dream of writing. This novel is the sequel to his first work, "The Legacy of the Priest." He has had various poems published and is working on a collection to be published called "Shadows In My Mind."
