About the Book

Children of Military families face stress and difficulty at higher rates than do their civilian counterparts. This stress has been found to increase resiliency in the lives of children as they encounter adolescence and adulthood. What adds to the life of the military child is the rich growth they experience as they enhance their world view through interaction with children of other cultures. Look through the eyes of children of various cultures as they share how they feel about their mothers leaving them to support a major facet of military life—deployment. Find enjoyment as these children share openness with their mothers of their life as a military child.

About the Author

About the Author Adrian R. Johnson (A.R. Johnson) is a native of Gary, Indiana and a resident of San Antonio, Texas. He is the first of nine children born to Valla Johnson and the late Dewite Johnson. Currently, he is an Active Duty Soldier in the United States Army. His future goals are to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the U.S. Army. Adrian is a Christian and a member of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. His hobbies include spending time with his family, exercising and jogging, playing and watching sports, writing poetry and serving in his community. Adrian currently authors three books of poetry titled Life Speaks…What is it saying to you?; In The Garden; Winter Moments…Summer Dreams; and a children’s book titled Daddy, Do It Again. He and his wife Dina have been married for over 20 years and they have 5 children.
