About the Book

Winterbloom learns how the Magical Swan came to be in Grandmother Shiverchills possession when she was a child. The child discovers another magical friend named Grinder in her grandmother's cottage. Later in the series Grinder's magic becomes an important element in rescuing the Magical Swan from a terrible curse. (ages 10 - 13) 36 pages, 18 full-color illustrations.

About the Author

LAQAIXIT TEWEE enjoyed writing this eight-book, multiple-story adventure drawing upon her life experiences both as a child growing up in a rural environment and as an world traveler. In this final Magical Swan episode, the author causes the conclusion of the Silverrealm epic to have a surprise twist that unites all of the Winterbloom and Magical Swan - Series I - books, and The Magical Swan and the Chronicles of Silverrealm Series II - stories together at last. Twenty-five years after having begun the story by hand and having gone through 4 computer crashes she is grateful to see it finally published. Had she known at the start that she would be painting a total of 465 illustrations for the entire series under her artist name Dancing Light she might not have had the courage to publish such a large endeavor.
