When Glen Cole meets an untimely death and is sent back to earth on assignment, he is presented with a unique explanation of why some lives are prone to adversity. On this mission, he must secretly test a woman´s character. To him the task sounds easy; he has no idea how emotionally involved he will become and how difficult it will be to stay on course and complete his mission. After a blissful childhood, Sylvia´s adult life is fraught with tragedy. She handles these adversities with quiet dignity, but only after she meets Glen Cole does her final and most severe testing take place. The conflict between her overpowering desire and her principles ends with a decision that determines her fate.

About the Author

Katherine Washburn was born near Atlanta, but has lived in Phoenix most of her life. The Pearl Test is her first novel.
