About the Author
Joan Hopkins was born and brought up in Wales. After education in England she joined the Royal Air Force as a career air defence officer. She served in junior appointments in the UK, Cyprus and Singapore and senior command and staff appointments in the UK and with NATO. On retirement she moved to a remote village in West Wales, far from the demands of the hi-tec world of her previous life. Here she became fascinated by the remains of prehistoric settlements that litter the local landscape. Twelve years of absorbing research have resulted in her first novel.
