Written in journal format, it reveals the emotional roller coaster of the first year of her grief journey. Using scripture, quotes, drawings and poetry she struggles through the year and comes through on the other side victorious.
About the Author
Ramona Lilburn Ford is a 40-something registered nurse from small town Oklahoma. She has 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Her nursing practices take her into the homes of pregnant woman, new mothers and their babies. She has used journaling as a means of expression for many years and naturally chose that method to express her grief after the death of her husband in 1999. Hugging the Cactus is the result of that difficult first year.
