About the Book

I didn’t know I was a collector of humor until I found the box of mimeographed sheets spilling out from the box I was holding them in. So I got a larger box. Same story. More and more came into my possession. I am an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham) and have acquaintances all over the world. And in my contacts I mentioned that I collected humor. Well that was a great move. People sent me jokes from all over. Then came the World Wide Web. The Internet was a bonanza. More and more jokes came my way. People found it easy to E-mail stories to me. I copied them and squirreled them away in various files. I have a database that I started with the punch line as one of the fields. More than 4000 jokes are listed and I haven’t yet finished. No one ever told me it would be easy. I hope to get the ambition to continue and finish all of them. Just don’t bet on it. I’ve tried to put a variety of humor into my book. I avoid any that will be offensive to any race, nationality or what ever. I hope not to offend anyone. Those jokes that are a bit raunchy are not vulgar; at least not in my mind. I do have many vulgar, ethnic bashing, race bashing, and nationality bashing jokes. They will not see light of day. They are collected in a folder named “Tasteless”. Why I don’t just delete them I don’t know. The best way to read this is a few jokes a day. It loses its flavor if it is read as a novel. Read a few, remember them and tell it to those that you meet that day. Maybe it will bring some cheer into both your day and theirs. Always ready for a good knee-slapper. If there is a credit line to them please send that along as well. To the best of my knowledge none of my material is copyrighted. Any joke you see in my book is yours to copy and pass along. Hopefully you won’t send the entire book to anyone at one time. J Remember.
