About the Book

An intricate, and at times, humorous novel about a young man named Christopher, and the struggles he has to overcome while continuing to grow up. In the novel Christopher is beset with many unusual family problems as well as a personal situation that forces him to look closely at himself. His love of fishing and exploring the mountains near his house gives him release to think through these conflicts, as well as decide how to handle situations that develop around him. Set in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s this book tackles the delicate issue of prejudice in its many forms and concludes with a powerful message that is relevant today. This is the second book of the series Horsemen of His Mind. The first book is titled “The Lonely Pines,” and can be purchased at www.xlibris.com. A powerful and intricately woven story about a boy named Theodore. As a shy and reserved eleven-year-old he is perplexed by the world around him. He soon makes friends with another boy his age named David, and the two become best friends. Together they explore controversial parts of the adult world. At the same time Theodore also makes friends with his older next door neighbors who teaches him about training beagle dogs and writing. He is soon faced with a dilemma of which path to follow. He has to decide to learn about the rabbit dogs, or doing drugs with his best friend. It is a difficult choice and he finds he unexpectedly has to grow up.
