About the Book

This book brings to the reader, a sequel to "The PAIR Tree" which was a true story of Frederick A. York and Nancy Runyon-Yost, two people who came together during their middle adult years to form a love relationship that withstood extreme personal challenges. During the summer after the book was released, Frederick exhibited many symptoms of respiratory difficulty and was being treated for bronchial asthma. In August, he was diagnosed with a large and advanced Stage three lung cancer that was very near the vascular wall. Because of this and his weakened condition, it was felt that little could be done to treat him and he was admitted to Hospice. This book "Ascending Angel" enables the reader to be by his bedside with him and experience what Nancy did on a day to day basis as his primary caregiver. The events that followed bordered on the supernatural to Nancy and inspired her to keep a chronicle. Watching him regress to a very handsome young man amazed her and others and confirmed that God was very definitely involved. Readings with a clairvoyant friend verified that he was an Angel, sent to be with Nancy and to assist her in developing her spiritual consciousness. His lapsing into acute delirium took her to a place that was both frightening and confusing. The months of his struggle were emotionally draining and the many emails from friends and relatives she received during her ordeal brought her comfort and courage to carry on when her heart was breaking. These letters are included as a major part of this book as they reinforce the empathy that the human family shares with all. The conversations carried on in the many letters showed the fear, the confusion and dread and eventually the acceptance of the inevitable. Humorous and magical events that followed his passing verified that Frederick´s spirit was still very active in making contact with Nancy from the spirit world. Most of all, "Ascending Angel"is a testament to their love and a verification that it does endure beyond the grave. Nancy´s hope is that others who have experienced the agony of losing a love partner can gain a measure of comfort from reading her book.

About the Author

Nancy Runyon-Yost received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She taught Art from 1965-1990 in the Talawanda School System, with additional teaching positions at Dayton's Living Arts Center, Dayton, Ohio and Miami University's Rowan Art Center. In 1988 she began "Allegro Adornments" a one of a kind jewelry business that took her to over 150 Fine Art juried shows, where she sold over l0.000 of her named, numbered brooches. In 2000 she began a line of exotic painted furniture and boxes, quilted wall hangings, and collages which are sold in galleries and art shows. In March 2006, she published her first book "The PAIR Tree," a true story of her long term love relationship with Frederick A. York. He had been an actor and model in Hollywood, when he became a victim of a hit and run leaving him severely injured and brain damaged. Her alliance with him contributed greatly to his gaining his lost skills and especially his musical gift of playing piano. "Ascending Angel" is her second book and a sequel to "The PAIR Tree".
