Eugene C. Di Cerbo was the Chief U.S. Probation Officer for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for seventeen years and retired December 31, 1974. During his career, he was the recipient of a national award for outstanding contributions to the Federal Probation System. Past President of the Pennsylvania Association on Probation, Parole and Corrections, he was appointed to serve on the Advisory Council of Pennsylvania Governor’s Justice Commission. Other citations included an Award of Merit by the Police Chiefs Association of Southeastern Pa. and a Certificate of Merit from the Quarter Sessions Court of Philadelphia County
