About the Book
So You Want To Become a National Park Service Seasonal Interpretative Park Ranger? is for those who want to know the process to become a ranger and to realize the daily experiences of a seasonal interpretative park ranger.
About the Author
Author Richard Boyer, retired educator from Illinois, has experienced a new profession since retiring--seasonal interpretative park ranger, park guide, and education technician for the National Park Service. For sixteen years he has worked seasonally at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado; John Muir National Historic Site in California; Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois; Redwood National and State Parks in California; and Point Reyes National Seashore in California. These rewarding and inspirational positions have led him to write about his experiences and some of the “nuts and bolts” of getting a job with the NPS.
