About the Book

The Biscuit on the Back of the Stove is a spiritual journey inviting the reader to explore the many ways in which God is present to all of us. Through stories and personal experiences Bev encourages each of us to tell our own stories. We are invited to pay attention to the many places where our God is lurking, waiting patiently for us to notice. With prayerful reflection this book can be an enhancement to anyone 's relationship with their God.

About the Author

Bev was born in New York, but her family roots are in Anderson, South Carolina where she lived during her high school years . She is the mother of four adult children and six grandchildren. A retired educator, she taught special education for 26 years. She is a trained mental health counselor and was in private practice for 10 years . Currently she is a spiritual director and retreat director. She is a staff associate at the Cenacle Retreat house in Ronkonkoma, Long Island. She has spent many years in ministry journeying with people in faith. A frequent speaker on Long Island and surrounding areas , she and her husband of fifty years live in Smithtown, Long Island. This is her first book
